Fred & Friends

美國一間生活用品公司 Fred & Friends，發展許多趣味性的生活用品。這些產品其實都是生活中再平凡不過的器具，但是 Fred & Friends 的設計師卻用幽默詼諧的手法，讓產品產生個性與生命。

其實對於這類型的產品，很容易第一眼就非常吸引人的目光，但是當消費者真正要購買的同時，卻經常因為它的價格而有所猶豫。因為一小片的塑膠片可能要價300元，從材料成本來看，他反應不出產品的價值；從實用角度來看，他表現不出產品的機能性。

而這樣的趣味設計，到底反映了多少設計的價值？這種價值對消費者或使用者來說，又代表了多少的生活意義？它帶給人的興奮，似乎顯得過於短暫而易逝。

其實我就是這類商品的受害者：在國外總愛遊逛一些設計小店，也因此消費了很多這類的產品。但是大部分都被我收藏到櫃子裡展示，對我的生活或是家人的生活並沒有真正產生影響。這到底是我沒找到對的使用方式呢，還是這根本也不是我該有的生活方式？(via Ex-design)

The Prosthesis Hanger is a made up of a base that links whatever pieces you have at home: branches, hockey sticks or broomsticks.
